DOOR CHURCH KC
A local church with a worldwide vision.
We exist to help people know Jesus, grow as disciples, and share the Gospel with our community and the world.
Who We Are
Door Church KC is a Christian, Bible-based, Spirit-filled, non-denominational church serving Blue Springs and the greater Kansas City area.
We believe Jesus Christ still changes lives. Our desire is to create a place where people can encounter God, hear the truth of His Word, build genuine relationships, and discover His purpose for their lives.
Whether you've followed Jesus for years or are just beginning to ask questions about faith, you're welcome here.
Meet the Pastor
Pastor Eddie & Susanna Gutierrez
Pastor Eddie and Susanna Gutierrez have a heart to see people encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and discover God's purpose for their lives.
Door Church KC was planted in March 2023 by Pastor Paul and Lupie Gualtieri, who laid the foundation for the church through their faithful ministry in Blue Springs. In 2026, Pastor Eddie and Susanna answered God's call to continue the work and build upon that foundation.
Before coming to Kansas City, Eddie and Susanna spent several years serving in ministry in Tucson, Arizona, where they were involved in reaching and discipling young adults through the college ministry and their local church. Together with their daughter, Audrey, they are excited to call the Kansas City area home and believe God has great things ahead for this city.
Reach.
We believe every person needs the hope of Jesus Christ. We're committed to sharing the Gospel in Blue Springs, throughout Kansas City, and wherever God opens a door.
Disciple.
Following Jesus is more than a decision, it's a lifelong journey. We believe in helping people grow through God's Word, prayer, relationships, and personal discipleship.
Send.
The Gospel was never meant to stop with us. We believe in equipping believers to reach others, raise up leaders, plant churches, and take the Gospel to the nations.
Our Mission
What We Believe
Our beliefs are rooted in the Word of God and centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ.
-
We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. It is the foundation of our faith and the ultimate authority for what we believe and how we live.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 • 2 Peter 1:20–21
-
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is God, Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, and the Holy Spirit is our Helper. Though distinct in their roles and work, all three are fully and equally God. One God, equal in nature, power, and glory.
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the grave, and is alive today at the right hand of the Father.
We believe the Holy Spirit is present and active in the world today, drawing people to Christ, dwelling within believers, and empowering the Church to live for Jesus and fulfill His mission.
Matthew 28:19 • John 1:1–14 • John 14:16–17 • 2 Corinthians 13:14
-
We believe sin has separated every person from God and that we cannot save ourselves. Salvation is God's gift of grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, we can be forgiven, born again, and begin a new life in Christ.
Romans 3:23 • John 3:3–7 • Ephesians 2:8–9 • Romans 10:9–10
-
We believe water baptism by immersion is an important step of obedience for every believer. Baptism is a public declaration of our faith in Jesus Christ and identifies us with His death, burial, and resurrection.
Matthew 28:19 • Acts 8:36–38 • Romans 6:4 • Colossians 2:12
-
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a distinct experience available to every believer, empowering Christians to live boldly and be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ. We believe the biblical evidence of receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
We believe speaking in tongues continues to be a gift of the Holy Spirit for the Church today and is expressed both in the believer's personal prayer life and, according to biblical order, within the gathered church.
Acts 1:8 • Acts 2:4 • 1 Corinthians 12:4–11
-
We believe the local church is God's design for believers to worship, pray, hear His Word, build relationships, serve others, and grow together in faith. Every believer has a place and a purpose within the body of Christ.
Acts 2:42–47 • Hebrews 10:24–25 • Ephesians 4:11–16
-
We believe God created and established marriage as a covenant relationship between one man and one woman, and that His design for sexuality is expressed within the covenant of marriage. We believe strong, Christ-centered marriages and families are foundational to healthy lives, churches, and communities.
Genesis 2:24 • Matthew 19:4–6 • Ephesians 5:22–33
-
We believe every person will spend eternity either with God or separated from Him, and that our eternal destiny is determined by our response to Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus Christ will return again as He promised, and we live with hope and expectation for His second coming.
John 3:16 • John 14:1–3 • Matthew 24:36–44 • Revelation 20:11–15
Part of something bigger.
Door Church KC is part of Christian Fellowship Ministries, a worldwide fellowship of churches committed to discipleship, church planting, and world evangelism.
Our roots are connected to Door Church in Tucson, Arizona, where generations of disciples, pastors, missionaries, and churches have been raised up and sent into cities and nations around the world.
While our heart is firmly planted here in Kansas City, we're grateful to be part of a fellowship with a vision to reach the world for Jesus Christ.
